RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made from Stephen Dalton Sleep Stories through our online shop. Our products are digital audio products, including MP3 sleep stories, meditations, relaxation recordings, and related downloadable audio files ("Digital Products").

Because our shop sells digital downloads only, there are no physical products to return and no return shipping process.

1. Digital Products and Instant Delivery

After successful payment, your purchased Digital Products are made available for download immediately or as soon as technically possible. Unless otherwise stated on the product page or in your order confirmation, you may downloaad your purchased Digital Products an unlimited number of times for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase.

After the 30-day download period, download links may expire. You are responsible for downloading, saving, and backing up your purchased files during the available download period.

2. No Physical Returns

Since our products are delivered digitally, they cannot be returned in the same way as physical goods. The following parts of a standard return policy do not apply to our shop: returning items in their original packaging, return shipping labels, return addresses, product tags, inspections of returned physical goods, exchanges of physical items, or return shipping costs.

3. Refunds for Digital Downloads

All purchases of Digital Products are generally final once the file has been made available, accessed, or downloaded, unless a refund is required by applicable law or approved by us at our discretion.

We may offer a refund or replacement where:

  • you purchased the wrong product by mistake and have not accessed or downloaded the files;
  • you were charged more than once for the same product;
  • you received access to the wrong product;
  • the download link does not work and we cannot provide a working replacement link;
  • the audio file is defective, corrupted, incomplete, or technically unusable and we cannot provide a corrected file;
  • another issue occurs that we determine, in our reasonable discretion, justifies a refund or replacement.

We do not normally offer refunds where:

  • you have already accessed or downloaded the Digital Product;
  • you changed your mind after purchase;
  • you no longer want the product;
  • you expected different subjective results, such as falling asleep faster or feeling more relaxed;
  • your device, software, internet connection, storage, email inbox, or audio player is incompatible or not functioning properly;
  • you lost the downloaded file after the 30-day download period and did not back it up;
  • you violated our Terms of Service or Digital Product License.

4. European Union and United Kingdom Consumers

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with a statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation, you may have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within a certain period, usually 14 days, without giving a reason.

However, Digital Products are different from physical goods. Where permitted by applicable law, you expressly consent during checkout to immediate access to the Digital Product before the end of the withdrawal or cancellation period. You also acknowledge that you may lose your right of withdrawal or cancellation once the Digital Product has been made available, accessed, or downloaded.

At checkout, we may ask you to confirm language similar to the following:

"I expressly consent to immediate access to the digital content before the end of the withdrawal period. I acknowledge that I will lose my right of withdrawal once the digital content has been made available or the download has begun."

If you do not provide this consent, we may be unable to provide instant access to the Digital Product.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law, including rights relating to defective digital content or non-conforming products.

5. Technical Problems and Download Issues

If you cannot access or download your purchased Digital Product, please contact us at hello@stephendaltonvo.com as soon as possible and include:

  • your name;
  • your order number;
  • the email address used for the purchase;
  • the product title;
  • a short description of the issue;
  • screenshots or error messages, if available.

We will make reasonable efforts to help you access your purchase, resend the download link, or provide a replacement file where appropriate.

6. Wrong Product or Duplicate Purchase

If you accidentally purchase the wrong product or make a duplicate purchase, please contact us at hello@stephendaltonvo.com as soon as possible.

We may be able to issue a refund, store credit, or replacement if the Digital Product has not yet been accessed or downloaded. Once the file has been made available, accessed, or downloaded, refunds are generally not available unless required by law or approved by us at our discretion.

7. Defective or Incorrect Files

Please check your order after purchase and contact us promptly if:

  • the download link does not work;
  • the file is corrupted or incomplete;
  • the audio does not play correctly;
  • you received the wrong file;
  • the product differs materially from its description.

If the problem is confirmed, we will try to provide a corrected file, replacement download link, replacement product, or refund, depending on the situation and applicable law.

8. Exchanges

Because our products are digital downloads, we do not offer traditional exchanges. If you purchased the wrong Digital Product and have not accessed or downloaded it, contact us at hello@stephendaltonvo.com. We may, at our discretion, provide a replacement product, store credit, or refund.

9. Sale Items, Discounts, Bundles, and Gift Cards

Discounted Digital Products, sale items, bundles, and promotional purchases are generally final once the files have been made available, accessed, or downloaded, unless a refund is required by applicable law.

Gift cards, vouchers, and store credit are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

10. How to Request Help or a Refund

To request help with an order or ask whether a refund may be available, contact us at hello@stephendaltonvo.com.

Please include:

  • your name;
  • your order number;
  • the email address used for the purchase;
  • the product title;
  • the reason for your request;
  • any relevant screenshots, error messages, or details.

We may ask for additional information to verify the purchase and understand the issue.

11. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, we will refund the amount to the original payment method where technically possible. Refunds are usually processed within 10 business days after approval.

Please note that banks, credit card companies, and payment providers may take additional time to process and post the refund to your account.

12. Abuse and Misuse

We reserve the right to refuse a refund, replacement, or further support if we reasonably believe that a customer has abused the refund process, violated our Terms of Service, violated our Digital Product License, shared files unlawfully, attempted fraud, or otherwise acted in bad faith.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Return and Refund Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website. The version that applies to your purchase is the version in effect at the time of purchase, unless a later version is required by applicable law.
